Our practice isn't just about treatments; it's about creating a personalized wellness experience that resonates with your baby’s unique needs, especially during their transformative first years. We understand that choosing a health provider for your baby is a significant decision, and it's essential to find a practice where you feel understood, cared for, and confident in the expertise provided. bwellbaby is the premier choice for parents, like you seeking specialized, compassionate care for their baby.

  1. Focused Expertise in Infant Feeding and Development: We're not just any therapy practice; we specialize in babies. Our advanced training means you're getting care that's tailored, precise, and effective. Nicole is the region’s only occupational therapist and lactation consultant (OT, IBCLC) providing you and your baby with a unique and holistic combination of skills.

  2. Care in the Comfort of Your Home: Babies are most comfortable in their home and it is easier to carry-over activities with the toys and equipment you already have.

  3. Holistic Approach: Babies are complex humans with complex needs.  We treat the whole baby, not just the parts that need support.  Infant development is intertwined and therefore we address all areas of development; sensory, motor, social-emotional, feeding, sleep, play, routines and more.

  4. Consistent, Personalized Care: You know exactly which therapist will be treating your baby and you’ll see the same one at each appointment.  This consistency means we really get to know your baby and your journey, providing care that feels familiar and reassuring.

  5. Parents are Partners: Your goals are our goals. You know your baby best and that’s why we partner with you. Therapy is most beneficial when you are invested in the results.

  6. Empowering You with Knowledge: We do more than treat symptoms; we educate and empower. Our goal is competent babies and confident parents.

  7. No More “Wait and See”: Choosing bwellbaby is a proactive step towards better health. It's about not settling for discomfort or delay, but taking control and moving towards helping your baby thrive.

Meet Nicole - The region’s only occupational therapist and lactation consultant!

I’ll be honest; when I was an infant teacher, I knew nothing about occupational therapy. My days were filled with laughter and care, but then one day, a mother approached me, her eyes filled with a mix of hope and worry, and asked if I could help her baby with clubfoot by stretching her ankles at every diaper change. At first, I felt a bit unsure, but I was determined to help.  Days turned into weeks, and the day the mother told me her baby didn’t need to be casted was transformative. This experience opened my eyes to the power of therapy and the profound impact it could have on a baby's life.  That moment ignited a passion within me, leading me to become a pediatric occupational therapist, committed to helping infants and their families thrive.

Babies have been my passion my whole life. When I was four, I proudly told everyone I wanted to be a “baby doctor.” My journey took me from playing with dolls, to babysitting, to working as an educator, and finally to the neonatal intensive care unit where I spent ten fulfilling years as an occupational therapist. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with hundreds of infants. I’ve seen the struggles, the worries, and the incredible resilience of both babies and their parents. At bwellbaby, my mission is clear: to provide expert, high-quality, holistic care for infants, while removing the red-tape and barriers to access.

bwellbaby offers a wellness-focused solution to infant feeding and developmental challenges, where you don’t have to “wait and see.”  You can take an active role in your baby’s wellness with an expert by your side.  I love supporting families through the challenges and celebrating the hard-earned victories, helping babies get the best start in life.

Pleased Parents

  • A.

Nicole was great to work with! She helped my son overcome a bottle refusal. She was so patient and taught me a great deal about infant feeding. I am so grateful for her services!

  • A.

Nicole has been working with my daughter who had significant feeding challenges that impacted her gross and fine motor skills. In the past two months in working with Nicole in our home weekly , she is now eating wide variety of solid foods - before she refused and built aversion to foods. She has now met her initial set of goals to improve her mobility and get back on track with her milestones. So glad we have met Nicole

to help support and work with our daughter. She customizes the care to the child and can tell she really cares about the children and their journey to improve the challenges they are facing. Nicole is dynamic in her wide ability and knowledge to provide care and support to babies. Highly recommend Nicole for any babies with feeding challenges , mobility or motor skills.

  • E.

Nicole was so wonderful with our baby boy. At 4 months, he was falling behind on some milestones and hated tummy time. She worked with him to release tension in his neck/back and gave exercises that helped him love tummy time ! He just turned 7 months and he is already crawling, I know it’s only possible because of the work Nicole did with him. We loved her coming to our house to work with our baby!

  • The Darcey's

Nicole is the best peds OT in the Triangle! She really tailors her classes to each family's individual needs and is such a great resource. Her background and education is exceptional. As a NICU RN, I highly recommend bwellbaby!

  • B.

We can’t recommend bwellbaby and Nicole enough! Our little guy was slow to crawl and was not bearing weight on his legs by 11mo. We worked with Nicole 2x per week and over the summer he started crawling, pulling up, standing, climbing, and now he’s holding on to his walker moving his own legs to make steps. He’s now 13 months and he’s back on track to meet his walking milestone.

  • A.

We worked with Nicole for a few months and had a wonderful experience. She helped our daughter go from completely refusing to be on her tummy to being a strong, confident crawler (soon to be walker). She genuinely cares and is great at her work. We cannot recommend her enough.

  • K.

We are beyond grateful for Nicole and the incredible impact she has had on our daughter’s development. Our daughter was delayed in walking and struggled with gross motor skills, and after seeing several physical therapists with little progress, we found Nicole. She was the one who truly made a difference. Nicole worked with us through in-home therapy, and her expertise, patience, and ability to connect with our daughter helped her not only learn to walk but also build the confidence she needed to keep moving forward. Nicole's approach was always supportive and encouraging, and we could see positive changes after every session. We can't thank her enough for her dedication and the progress our daughter has made!
